St. Josemaria - Devotion |
| At
the time of his death in 1975 St. Josemaria’s reputation
for holiness was such that sixty-nine cardinals, 1,300 bishops,
41 superiors of religious congregations, and thousands of
priests, religious and lay people asked the pope to open the
cause of his beatification and canonization. Not surprisingly,
many thousands of people from around the world have developed
a strong devotion to him and found him to be a powerful intercessor.
